Welcome to the world of Kites.

So if you haven't read it elsewhere, I've been flying kites since I was a kid. I've always loved it, most probably like a lot of other people, without really understanding why.  It may be something to do with flying, (they say everyone dreams of flying), or it may just be something traditionally child-like, that we just want to cling to.  Who knows.

What I do know is that I was fortunate enough to be able to choose a slightly new path a few years ago, and got the opportunity to turn my hobby of flying kites into my new job.

So now I teach children all about kites, explain how to make them, and help to fly them too. It really is great!  As well as going into schools to do exhibitions, talks, and kitemaking lessons, I am also happy to do the same for adults, in fact just about anyone who fancies going out into the fresh air to fly a kite.

I've also done kite flying displays at all sorts of events, put on kite exhibitions in museums, libraries, etc. and I commentate at kite festivals.

I'm also very proud to belong to the SKY SYMPHONY KITE DISPLAY TEAM.  We fly kites in formation to music. It's amazing.  Click on the picture to go to the Team website.

To Seekers of Information

If you would like to see any of the images on the site a little larger, they are available if you 'right-click' on them and choose 'View image'. You will then be able to view them at their full resolution.  If you would like to use an image, you are welcome to do so, they are not mechanically protected, but an acknowledgement would be appreciated (an e-mail would be even nicer).

If you are searching for more information which you cannot fiind, feel free to ask.  My head is full of useless stuff.

Best Wishes,
